Patient Code of Conduct
At all Martin Bionics Clinical Care locations, we strive to create an environment of mutual respect between our patients and our clinical care staff. We understand that prosthetic care is a lifelong struggle, and your mobility is as important to us as it is to you. Please keep in mind that we are people too and are trying our best to help navigate the difficult landscape of today’s health care process. If there is a dispute or concern between you and a staff member, we encourage you to notify the clinic manager or clinical director as soon as possible so that we can resolve the issue in a timely manner.
Just as you reserve the right to discontinue services at any point, we also reserve the right to dismiss your care if our staff feel threatened. At either a clinical or corporate level, we may discontinue service if we experience a significant level of disrespect towards our team at any point in your episode of care.
Examples of such disrespect can include, but is not limited to:
- Offensive or Disrespectful language
- Hate speech
- Sexual Harassment
- Indecent Exposure
- Physical Aggression
These requirements can apply but are not limited to interactions that occur on the phone or in-person visits. The degree of tolerance and escalation of such complaints by our staff will be handled internally and at the discretion of the clinic manager and/or clinical director. You will know if you have been permanently released from our care with written notice from the clinical director and clinical manager from your specific location. If you believe you have been wrongfully released from our care, you may contact our corporate office and discuss this matter with the clinical director at any time.
We appreciate your consideration and compliance on this matter and look forward to a respectful and uplifting rehabilitation process.
